Information for Presenters
Virtual session (8:30am to 12:15pm on Monday October 28)
Speakers should prepare their presentations on PowerPoint and be prepared to share their screen with the audience. A moderator will introduce the speaker and help with the Q&A after each talk. Note that all virtual presentations will be recorded unless the speaker requests otherwise. For more information, contact jpossley@fairchildgarden.org
In-person session (8:30am to 5pm on Tuesday October 29, at Fairchild Garden)
Speakers should prepare their presentations on PowerPoint and bring it with them on a memory stick. A laptop will be in place, but speakers may opt to use their own laptop if they wish (and if the required cables are available). Speakers will present from an on-stage podium while their presentation is projected on a screen behind them. They will be able to view the presentation on their laptop while speaking. A moderator will introduce the speaker and help with the Q&A after each talk. For more information, contact jpossley@fairchildgarden.org
Poster session (6pm to 8pm on Tuesday October 29, at the FIU International Center for Tropical Botany)
Poster presenters should bring their printed 36x48" poster with them to the event. Those who have a preferred display method could bring their own easel, otherwise easels, backing boards, and binder clips will be provided. For more information, contact lbtrotta@gmail.com
